       Contracts with state or tribally licensed day care homes to reimburse for the cost of nutritionally balanced meals and snacks provided to the children under care. Requires a one year contract and agreement to send in approved menus, keep specific records on children enrolled in the program, and sumbit monthly meal claims. Rates for meals and snacks are based upon state approved reimbursements.

       Assesses the energy efficiency of owner-occupied houses. The maximum amount of money that can be invested in each house is $2692.00 including materials and labor. In some cases appliances may be replaced with more energy efficient ones. Work generally consists of eliminating air infiltration the effects the efficiency of heating and cooling.

       Income qualified clients (low to moderate incomes) with very good credit history can qualify for a USDA/Rural Development 33 year low interest mortgage to construct a new energy efficient single family home. The client pays their down payment costs through sweat equity by helping to construct the house and the houses of others in their construction group, under supervision. This program generally builds single story brick ranch houses of about 1400 square feet, with three bed rooms, one to two baths, and a one or two car garage.
